dreaming big for the both of us..

These were the last words I spoke over my grandfather, a Southside local "picture man". Growing up I didn’t set out to follow in his footsteps, but the gift found me in film school. What started as an extra curricular activity has become a lifelong calling. Now, with over 15 years in the field, photography is one of my most powerful tools for preserving Black stories and honoring the beauty within them.

Founder & Owner of EFTC

Hello, I'm Kikozi

Portraiture is my favorite way to see and celebrate people which is why it's my chosen specialty. It is intimate, profound, and deeply personal.

I believe that portraits can shift how you see yourself, and remind you that you matter. Photography is a reflection that immortalizes and affirms: you were here, and you were worthy of being seen beautifully.

As a proud South Shore resident of over 20 years, this work is both personal and communal.
These are my Efforts For The Culture.

Pop-Up 2 Studio is EFTC’s fundraising campaign to acquire, renovate, and launch our first storefront studio in South Shore by 2027. Through dynamic pop-up experiences featuring portrait activations, creative workshops, and cultural events, we bring our vision to life while building community. We gratefully welcome donations and are actively pursuing grants to make this dream a reality. Until then, we are proud to curate vibrant spaces celebrating Black joy in a multitude of places along the way.
